Chiropractic Billing – PT Coding

We would like to share a quick reminder regarding coding.

Here is the scenario, if an office performs 8 minutes of a PT code, and no other PT codes, is there an issue if a clinic bills for a full unit? If a full 15 minute is not done first, is 8 to 14 minutes unacceptable?

The answer to those questions is, as long as you perform just one therapy code, and you did that therapy for 8 minutes or more, you can bill it at the full 15 minute rate.
